Aashudna Miniature Smooth Dachshunds
Hi there! AASHUDNA is the name behind miniature dachshunds owned by Heather and Mark, located in the Upper Hunter, 3 hours from Sydney. Through ethical breeding and careful planning of future litters, we aim to preserve the true miniature dachshund with sound health, temperament, structure and movement.
We have taken-up IVDD x-ray screening on some of our Dams. Maggie has a score of 1 ‘Excellent’. Maggies litter sister Lambda a result of 2 ‘Great’, both grade 1’s. Our dogs are DNA tested for hereditary diseases known to the miniature smooth dachshund breed.
Our motivation is to create miniature dachshunds who fulfil their purpose of bringing joy and companionship to their humans, as well as being good examples of their breed by having the attributes a dachshund should have.
All our miniature dachshunds are treated as pets and when they ‘do’ have puppies they are raised in a home environment, available only to the best caring owners.

My Husband and I are active members on the Dachshund Club of NSW committee.
Dog Shows
We are often seen campaigning our Dachshunds around the state of NSW.
Breed Awareness
My dogs are often seen at Dachshund Meets, Dachshunds In the Park, Dog Lovers Shows, the Royal and campaigned at many Dog Shows. This enables the public to meet this beautiful breed and learn and ask longterm breeders questions.
